Meet Dr Jeffrey Chow (Dentist)
Dr Jeffrey Chow is an accomplished dentist with a passion for restoring functionality and improving smiles for his patients. Armed with the latest dental techniques and equipment, he is devoted to helping his patients prevent dental and related diseases. He’s also committed to providing every patient with a positive dental experience.
“The most rewarding aspect of being a dentist is helping people when they are in pain or when they need assistance the most (e.g. they have a chipped front tooth before a wedding). I also have the privilege to look after and get to know my patients and their families for many years.”
Education & Professional Development
Dr Chow began his journey in the medical field at the University of Sydney, where he earned his Bachelor of Dentistry. He further expanded his knowledge and skills by completing a Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle. His pursuit of excellence didn’t stop there. In 2007, he was awarded membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and a Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
To stay abreast of the latest in the field, Dr Chow frequently takes professional development and continuing education courses. These include implant dentistry and restorative dentistry.
Possessing Extensive Experience
Dr Chow’s extensive experience includes working as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Registrar with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Westmead and John Hunter Hospitals. Here, he gained invaluable experience in minor oral surgeries, including complicated wisdom teeth extractions. He is also adept at providing treatment under IV sedation for procedures like wisdom teeth removals.
He also worked as a medical GP and served as a dentist in Hong Kong. His commitment to service led him to volunteer in cleft and palate missions in the Philippines, extending his skills and compassion to those most in need.
In His Spare Time
Outside the practice, Dr Chow is an avid traveller and enjoys playing football (the round one!), cooking, and reading.
